God is so good

Yesterday, Ed and I celebrated that God is so good to us.

We have been raking in the hospital and doctor bills this year that total over $150,000.

Ed fought retiring as long as he possibly could. He really wanted to work until he was 70 but poor health and a knee injury forced him to retire early. He had to go on social security. No, this is not a rant on health care! We are simply grateful to God for working things out so that all these hospital and doctor bills are covered by Medicare and our supplemental insurance. Who could have foreseen a fall that would result in a broken hip, 2 surgeries, 2 ICU stays, a Rehab facility stay of 21 days, blood and plasma transfusions and all these doctor visits and tests??? God! That’s Who. Left to our own devices, we would be in huge debt right now and in danger of losing our home.

God is so good to us. Even when things look horrible, God is good.

Today, we are back to celebrating me for some reason. Ed wants to celebrate how much he loves me, which brings me back to, “God is so good to us.” I don’t deserve the blessings  I am getting.
