A wedding and a birthday

14 09 2008

We had a busy weekend.

First of all, I worked about 60 hours last week. No time to do laundry, house work or cooking for Ed. No time to catch up on any of those things this weekend either.

Saturday was the wedding of a young lady that I have been praying for for about 9 years. She made a beautiful bride. I have great hopes for this couple and will continue to pray for their success. You have come such a long way Kari, I am proud of you and happy for you. Now, the real work begins!!!

Congratulations Kari

My BFF’s mother turns 90 tomorrow. Nancy and her sister Janice threw a surprise birthday celebration for Miss Odell at her church today. It is not an easy task to pull something over on this lady but her daughters did it this time!! I was very moved to be a part of it. This family is like our extended family. So, Ed and I drove about 2 hours to Pitt county this morning and we sneaked into the church. Odell did not know we were there until the church service ended and we all met in the fellowship hall. There were several of Nancy’s friends and family who made the trek from Wilmington and other distant areas. Miss Odell was surprised to see about 100 people turn out for her surprise celebration. A lot of people care about you Miss Odell.

Happy Birthday Miss Odell

Pictured here from left to right are David Butler, (Janice’s husband), my BFF Nancy Kling and her husband Glenn Kling.

Now, it’s off to bed for me because I have to be at the studio at 7:15 in the morning.
